Copyright Recording Program Installation Instructions
Please
note this program will not operate properly if you have Windows 3.1,
95, 97 or 98 1st edition.
1. Load the
CD into the CD drive.
2. The
"MENU" screen will appear after a few seconds, left click
on 'Install Word of life 1'.
3. If you
have windows 98 2nd edition, left click on 'Install dcom98', if you
don't have Windows 98 2nd edition go to step 4.
4. Left
click on 'Install Jet40Sp3_Comp' and let the installation complete
(should take about 5 - 10 seconds).
5. If you
have Windows ME, left click on 'Install Jet40 Sp6_WME' and let the
installation complete (should take about 10 - 15 seconds)
then go to
step 7. If you don't have Windows ME go to step 6.
6. Left
Click on 'Install Jet40 Sp6_9xNT' and let the installation complete
(should take about 10 - 15 seconds).
7. Left
click on 'Install Mdac-typ', tick the accept box to proceed, click
'next' and then click 'finish' to begin the installation and click
'close' when the installation is complete.
8. Left
click on 'Install Wordoflife1 setup files' , click OK to proceed with
setup, click the tick box to accept the terms, click the large button
[with the computer on it] to start installation, click continue (If a
file conflict message appears, simply click YES to keep the newer
file on your computer. Please note: this message may appear up to 13
times.) to complete the installation of 'Wordoflife1'.
9. Left
click 'Close Menu' to close 'Install Word of Life 1 Copyright
Recording Program' screen.
10. Open
the Wordoflife1 program by left clicking on the 'START' button in the
bottom left hand corner of the screen, then choose Programs/All
Programs, choose 'Wordoflife1' from the programs list and move the
mouse pointer to the right and click on the smaller 'Wordoflife1'. If
a screen appears, stating your database has no records etc. go to
step 11, if not rerun steps 8, 9, 10.
11. Click
the red 'Exit Program' button, to close the screen
12. Left
click 'Install Title File Update Wordoflife1' click OK to proceed
with setup, click the tick box to accept the terms, click the large
button [with the computer on it] to start installation, click
continue to complete the title file installation.
13.
Wordoflife1 installation is complete, please open the program by left
clicking on the 'START' button in the bottom left hand corner of the
screen, then choose Programs/All Programs, choose 'Wordoflife1' from
the programs list and move the mouse pointer to the right and click
on the smaller 'Wordoflife1' to open the program. Click the 'program
instructions' button to use the program. IF WORDOFLIFE1/WORDOFLIFE2
DOESN'T OPEN PLEASE RE-RUN STEP 12 OR CONTACT WORD OF LIFE INTERNATIONAL.
14. If you
need to install 'Wordoflife2', use the steps 8 - 13 substituting
wordoflife2 for wordoflife1 to install the program.
If you
have difficulty completing the steps above, please contact Word of
Life International for help.
ACTION
AT THE END OF THE LICENSE PERIOD (Scenario One)
When all
the data is entered into the program, use the steps below to transfer
information from the program.
Click the
"TRANSFER TITLES TO WOL MEDIA QUANTITIES ONLY" button to
reveal the drive option.
1. Using
the "down arrow" in the drive option, select the
"A" drive then click the bottom yellow button "
TRANSFER TITLES TO WOL MEDIA QUANTITIES ONLY " again to begin
the transfer process.
2. Insert a
floppy disk into drive A and click OK to proceed.
3. When the
format screen appears, click START to format the floppy disk, when
format is complete, click CLOSE twice.
4. After
the file to be transferred is generated, the program will place the
file to be sent to WOLI in the "A" drive. This file is
called "Wol1" for Wordoflife1 or "Wol2" for Wordoflife2.
5. Simply
post the floppy disk to Word of Life International to fulfill the
licensing agreement.
ACTION
AT THE END OF THE LICENSE PERIOD (Scenario Two)
When all
the data is entered into the program, use the steps below to transfer
information from the program.
Click the
"TRANSFER TITLES TO WOL MEDIA QUANTITIES ONLY" button to
reveal the drive option.
1. Using
the "down arrow" in the drive option, select the
"C" drive then click the bottom yellow button "TRANSFER
TITLES TO WOL MEDIA QUANTITIES ONLY " again to begin the
transfer process.
2. After
the file to be transferred is generated, the program will place the
file to be sent to WOLI in the "C" drive/local drive. This
file is called "Wol1" for Wordoflife1 or "Wol2"
for Wordoflife2.
3. Click on
"MY COMPUTER", select "C" drive, search for the
file called "Wol1" for Wordoflife1 or "Wol2" for Wordoflife2.
4.
Copy/burn the file to a CD, using the burn to CD facilities on your
computer or attach the file to an email and email to
freelink@sympac.com.au. If choosing the latter, please advise us when
you send in your license renewal payment that this alternative method
has been used.
For WORDS
AND MELODY LINE licenses (License Numbers Under
5000/Wordoflife1) please enter the appropriate quantities against the
relevant titles (ie. whatever your average congregation size is). In
the case of MUSIC licenses (License Numbers greater than
5000/Wordoflife2), please enter the actual number of copies used each
title usage occurs If you make a mistake in either wordoflife1 or
wordoflife2, you can reverse the entry by entering the amount and
then a minus sign and updating the negative figure.
Please note:
If you are making direct photocopies of words and melody line or
music, you will have to advise Word of Life International of the
source of your photocopying, If photocopies are made from
publications published by companies other than the original publisher
(listed publisher), please enter a "Y" in the Photocopy
box. The program will generate the Title and Composer entry, the
Publication (hymnbook) Publisher code will need to be entered and the
amount of copies to finish the entry. Please read "Attention All
License holders" sheet for more information about photocopying,
If you are transcribing, ie retyping or reproducing in some other
form, then enter your quantities against the original publisher listed.
