Since
1991 we have represented many Australian and overseas publishers for
the collection of
copyright
fees for use in religious worship. We now represent over 1000+
publishers (see Publisher List)
who
control the rights for over 80,000 hymns.
If
you would like to have us collect copyright fees on your behalf on a
non exclusive basis please email us and we will send you our very
simple 2 page contract which will enable us to offer copying use of
your hymns to over 2000 churches through Australia and New Zealand.
Most
of our license holders have only one copying license so if your
hymns are not included in our license then they are unable to copy on
overheads or liturgy sheets and are much less likely to use your
music. By signing our non exclusive agreement you are making your
music available to many thousands of worshippers which will
substantially encourage the sale of your publications recorded music
and so on. This will provide a just royalty stream that will be paid
to you each year.
All
our license holders are required to keep records of what they copy
during each license period and these returns form the basis of
payments to publishers/composers. In simplistic terms if your music
is used for 5% of returns then you receive 5% of the royalties
collected after our collection fee of 25% is deducted.
Royalties
are paid on the 1st of November each year and a statement is issued
detailing the exact number of copies and net fees collected for each
title. Church license fees are based on the average number of
worshippers who attend the church each week, plus we collect fees for
special events from non annual license holders.
Publishers/composers
are required to advise us of all the titles they control and
regularly update us with any additions or subtractions to their list.
We
are very pleased to advise that in the 10 years we have been
operating in this field no publisher or
composer
has withdrawn from their agreement with us, we take this as
acknowledgement that the people we represent are very happy we the
service we provide on their behalf.
